KNX or wireless smart home: which should you choose?

The right choice starts with the building. For a new build or major renovation, a wired KNX bus provides a stable and expandable infrastructure. In a finished property, wireless technology can greatly reduce disruption.

A wireless solution is not automatically less reliable or less suitable. Compare radio coverage, batteries, cloud dependency, multi-brand compatibility and long-term maintainability.

KNX RF also provides wireless extensions within the KNX ecosystem. A hybrid installation often uses wired KNX for central functions and radio devices where new cables are impractical.
